Faith will provide “Kanpoubijindo”, Official i-mode Website Supporting Women Concerned with “Beauty,” “Health” and “Anti-aging”

Tokyo-November 30, 2006---Faith, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Faith) is pleased to announce that services offering support for women concerned with “beauty,” “health” and “anti-aging” will be available from December 8 on “Kanpoubijindo*,”the official i-mode website for NTT DoCoMo FOMA terminals.
　 *”Kanpo” means traditional Chinese medicine. “Bijin” measns a beautiful woman.

Traditional Chinese medicine is currently gaining popularity as a method of remedying minor daily health problems and developing resistance to illness by maintaining internal physical balance. This alternative medicine is a form of preventive medicine that ensures resistance to illness by providing total care through a balanced lifestyle and diet tailored to match the constitution of the individual after diagnosis of the causes of minor ailments based on physical and environmental factors.

“Kanpoubijindo” is a support site that offers prevention methods in loss of beauty or health caused by factors such as age, physical ailments, fatigue or stress based on the theory and concepts of Kanpo treatment. According to Kanpo theories, there are five types of physical constitution: “Wood,” “fire,” earth,” “metal” and “water,” and the first step in the process is a physical check to determine which of these types applies to the patient. Based on the constitutional type, advice is offered from 100,000 data to provide the approach most suited to the subscriber’s current physical condition. Additionally,subscribers to the site can use i-appli to chat with characters representing the five constitutional types to plan improvements of the subscriber’s physical condition. The site is supervised with the assistance of Dr. Liu Ying, a doctor of medicine with experience of both eastern and western medicine and director of the Japan Mibyou (pre-symptomatic medicine) Medical Research Center.

“Kanpoubijindo Blog,” a blog site will be available for viewing from December 1 in advance of the opening of the site on December 18. The “Kanpoubijindo Blog” site offers profiles of characters, diaries, and updated information on mobile sites.

As both director of the Japan Mibyou Medical Research Center and representative of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Associations, Dr. Liu Ying is committed to the spread of Kanpo herbal medicine in Japan. In recent years, Dr. Liu has been involved in wide-ranging research with the aim of gradually achieving medical verification of Kanpo herbal medicine previously shrouded in mystery, and continues to present the fruits of this research to numerous academic associations both in Japan and overseas. “Kanpoubijindo” will be the first site to transmit information that Dr. Liu has both presented and collected from around the world (e.g. anti-aging data).
